Integrated Studies


Every student has integrated studies during the week. the 5th grade is learning about rice cultivation. They planted and are now harvesting the rice. They will cook and eat it next week.

EVERY student has integrative studies. I wish "No Child Left Behind" meant something like what it means in Japan. Imagine if we took the time to teach all children how to grow food.

In the USA, No Child Left Behind actually narrows education in America to test prep in math and reading.
